Fenfair acceptable use

Fenfair Acceptable Use Policy

Fenfair is a platform for handmade sellers. This policy explains what shops, products, and behavior are allowed on Fenfair. We update it as we learn what protects sellers and buyers without making ordinary handmade businesses feel policed.

What Fenfair is for

Handmade, made-to-order, and small-batch craft.

Fenfair shops are for handmade, made-to-order, and small-batch craft work. That includes leather goods, ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, textiles, candles, art, prints, food (where law allows), and similar craft categories.

We give wide latitude. If your work is made by a person, by hand, in your studio or shop, it belongs on Fenfair. Resold mass-produced goods, dropshipped items, white-label products with no maker input, and items that misrepresent their origin do not.

Restrictions

Categories Fenfair won't host.

  • Counterfeit, replica, or trademark-infringing goods
  • Stolen intellectual property (designs, photos, copy) used without permission
  • Items the United States or any state where you or the buyer operate has restricted from online sale
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or weapon components
  • Tobacco, cannabis, vaping products, or any controlled substance
  • Adult content, sexually explicit material, or services
  • Live animals, animal parts protected by CITES, or products from endangered species
  • Items requiring licensure that the seller does not hold
  • Anything Stripe restricts under its Connect Acceptable Use Policy (the current list is at stripe.com/restricted-businesses)
  • Anything designed to harass, defraud, or harm specific people or groups

This list is not exhaustive. We enforce the spirit, not just the letter. If your shop sells something the list doesn't name but a reasonable handmade-seller community would flag, we'll have a direct conversation before any action.

Behavior

Operate honestly. Communicate respectfully.

Sellers describe their work accurately, set realistic timelines, communicate proactively when something changes, and resolve buyer issues in good faith. Buyers communicate respectfully, follow seller policies, and do not abuse refund, dispute, or chargeback mechanisms.

Harassment of sellers, buyers, or Fenfair staff is not allowed. Attempts to bypass Fenfair security, scrape data, or interfere with other shops are not allowed.

Enforcement

What happens when a shop or behavior is reported.

Reports reach a real person. We review with context: what was reported, the shop's history, the seller's response. We start with a direct conversation and a chance to fix the issue. Severe violations (counterfeit goods, fraud, harassment, illegal activity) may result in immediate suspension without prior notice.

Suspended shops can appeal by emailing brian@fenfair.com. We respond within seven business days with what we found, what we'll need to lift the suspension, or why the suspension stands. Sellers can export their shop data during a suspension.

Updates

When we change this policy.

We update this policy as we learn. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance via email to active sellers. The current version is always at fenfair.com/aup with a last-updated date at the top.
